2005 Annual Cross Stitch Pattern
Mary is the second figure in this series. We see the young mother,
looking to the needs of her baby. Although she is often pictured in rich robes
with lavish adornments, we see her as young mother of meager means and wearing humble,
plain, simple, and likely well-worn attire. If she had more, her baby would not have slept in a manger.
Though she had little of this world to give her firstborn, she gave him the most important gift a
mother can bestow upon a child: her unfailing love and full attention.
